Segovian gastronomy and culinary tradition

In the heart of Segovia, opposite the cathedral and surrounded by the aroma of burning wood, El Horno de Segovia pays homage to fire, earth, and local produce.
It was created under the Grupo Asador de Aranda label, with the aim of introducing Castilian cuisine to a new generation: unpretentious, unhurried, and with great respect for tradition.

The premises and location

The interior of the restaurant exudes history: stone, wood, iron, and clay. Each element has been chosen to remind us that beauty lies in the essentials.

The wood-fired oven presides over the dining room. Its fire sets the pace of service, and the aroma of the roast mingles with the background music that accompanies each meal. Because at El Horno de Segovia, we believe that eating well is a simple act: all you have to do is respect the fire and cook with authenticity.

The restaurant occupies what is considered to be Segovia's first commercial premises. A protected historic building that preserves its original structure and keeps the city's memory alive.

From its entrance, you can see Segovia Cathedral, and the surroundings reflect the essence of the old town: cobbled streets, stone facades, and the tranquil atmosphere of a city steeped in history.

More than just a restaurant, El Horno de Segovia is a tribute to the city's living past and the purest way of understanding Castilian cuisine.

A restaurant that values proximity

At our restaurant, we work with local suppliers and locally sourced ingredients, selected for their quality and their connection to the land.

Each dish is a tribute to the Castilian region: roast suckling pig with PGI , wines from La Ribera, garden vegetables, and bread baked in a wood-fired oven.

Aranda Grill Group

El Horno de Segovia is part of the Asador de Aranda Group, a family of grill houses with more than 40 years of experience dedicated to keeping the Castilian tradition alive.

Founded in Aranda de Duero in 1983, the group has become a benchmark for slow cooking and respect for the product. Its experience and understanding of gastronomy—based on the oven, craftsmanship, and honesty—are the best guarantee of the quality and authenticity that define our grill.
